Question 1 - How do I renew my GeoTrust SSL certificate?

First, open the URL http://www.acs.kent.edu/ssg in your web browser.

On this page, you will find two links under the Managed PKI heading:

For instructions on how to apply for a certificate, click on the
"GeoTrust certificate signup instructions" link. It's very important
that you follow these directions closely.

When you are ready to renew your certificate, click on the
"GeoTrust certificate order website" link. The only difference between
your initial order and a renewal order is that you will select the
"Renewal" option on the first page of the on-line order form. After
that, proceed according to the instructions mentioned above.

Question 2 - Can I renew my GeoTrust SSL certificate prior to
             its expiration date?

To ensure uninterrupted security of your website, you are encouraged to
renew your certificate before the expiration date is reached. You may
renew your certificate up to 3 months in advance.

Since you've paid for a full 12 months of service, you will receive a
credit of up to 3 months toward your next renewal date. Details can be
found under the Renewal heading on the first page of the on-line order
form.

Question 3 - May I order certificates with a validity period greater
             than 1 year?

Although the on-line order form mentions that certificates are
available for periods greater than 12 months, those types of orders are
not being accepted on our current contract. We will continue to explore
this option for future availability to the University community.
