Enable Java You will need to have Java software installed in order for certain areas of WebCT to function properly. Follow these steps: Get Java. Go to the Sun Java site, and click Download Java Software. Follow the online instructions. In addition, you will need to perform the following adjustments: IE 4.0 and higher Select Tools then choose Internet Options Select the Security tab Click the Custom Level button Scroll down to Java Permissions and choose either Low, Medium or High safety Click OK Netscape 4.5 and higher Select Edit then choose Preferences Select Advanced from the left-hand pane Make sure the Enable Java and Enable JavaScript boxes are checked Click OK 2. Set Browser Cache IE 4.0 and higher Select Tools then choose Internet Options Select the General tab Select Settings from Temporary Internet Files Select the Every Visit to the Page radio button Click OK IE 4.0 and higher Select Tools then choose Internet Options Select the General tab Select Settings from Temporary Internet Files Select the Automatically radio button Click OK Netscape 4.5 and higher Select Edit then choose Preferences Click the + sign or arrow next to Advanced to view more options Select Cache Select the Every Time radio button at the bottom Click OK 3.
